ODA / KVM / GPT Partition Table

Hi

I have a ODA X8-2M with 19.24.0.0.0. There is a KVM with 2TB disk space running, but the client needs more than 2TB for his work load.

I noticed, that the partition table is MBR, and I have to transform it to GPT. Having fun with the partition table is pretty risky.

I could shut down the KVM, and back up everything in this directory:

/u05/app/sharedrepo/vmstorages/.ACFS/snaps/vm_kvm-server/

But as there are 2TB to back up, it will take a day or two days, which is not an option for the client. Is there a way to snapshot this directory, and if something goes south, to play back the snapshot?

Howdy, Stranger!
