How does PO_TYPE default on POs?

We recently added several new values for PO_TYPE on the XLAT table. When we run Auto Source to create POs, we would like one of the new values to be the default PO Type on the newly built POs. How do we make that happen? I cannot find anywhere to specify it - it currently populates the PO_TYPE field on the PO header with the value 'GEN'. Going forward, we do not want to use GEN at all, and instead have one of the new values populate that field after auto source has run.
