Is it ok to setup an OAR with Last Status 500 and Other Next Status as 999

Hello Experts

We have a scenario wherein we want to prevent users form entering credit orders for certain kind of items. The solution that we thought was to use the next status Preference and set it to a next status say like 521 (which is not in the Order Activity Rule). That way when entering the order the lines for these items would error out.

However some smart users do change the next status to a correct value and process the order. In our case the status update is not locked for credit orders do to various other reasons.

So we were just wondering if we can setup a OAR with Last status as 500 and Other Allowable status as 999. In the Preference setup instead of erroring out that transaction, the line will simply be created as 500/999 status.

Howdy, Stranger!
