Work Plan View does not appear the same on different computers

We are having an issue where when I open a view on my computer (17" screen) I am able to see the task cards with the names of the tasks on them like the below:

but when a coworker opens the same view on his laptop (14" screen) the view looks different for him and he cannot see the names on the task cards. His view looks like this:

I have checked the view settings and the task names should be showing up - the only thing I can this is that this is some sort of bug that has to do with his screen size/resolution… We have tried adjusting the page zoom but it does not do anything.
