PeopleSoft Inventory: Express Issue at Zero Dollar

Scenario:

Inventory Item ID: 1100

Item Description: Police Handcuffs

Item Cost: $100

Jan 1, 2000 – Handcuffs were issued to a police officer.

Dec 31, 2024 – The officer retires and returns the handcuffs. These handcuffs are fully functional and will be assigned to a new officer in the coming days/months/years.

We want the handcuff to be:

a) Included in inventory on hand at cost of zero. Or,

b) Included in inventory on hand at the original cost.

So, when the handcuffs are issued to the new office through ‘Express Issue’ in Peoplesoft, it would be for zero cost or the original cost of the handcuffs.
