Why would the Total Float Values not display in the column of a layout?

This is for P6 Professional v21.12.

In a project update being reviewed, the total float fields in a column for projected individual activities are blank, though some of the grouping bands include a float value. When grouping on total float, the group name in the layout shows "No Total Float." Any ideas why this would be? Thanks!
