MRP suggests orders where there is no work order demand

We are running MRP on E1 Release 24. We have recently noticed that MRP is suggesting orders when there is a requisition placed using a non-stock (J) line type for an item that is set up as a stock item in the item branch. There is no demand found for the item since it is a direct order. Has anyone seen MRP ignore the line type on a purchase order and suggest a reorder when it should not?
