Can I run cleanup.pl after Failed odacli restore-node -g, without losing the data

I'm trying to patch my ODA X9 from 19.20 to 1924 with DPR.
Now the "odacli restore-node -g" failed with "DCS-10001:Internal error encountered: Failed to set ping target on public network."

I thought I would edite the hsots file and try again but ofcours I get the following error:

"DCS-10045:Validation error encountered: System has already undergone provisioning with status 'FAILED'."

Can I run the cleanup.pl without losing the data so I can run restore-node again?
As described in Doc ID 2920272.1.

Or do I lose all data with that?
