SO Date Calculations

We are running JDE 9.2.7.2

I am reading (Doc ID 1512008.1) and trying to understand how the dates work. We have been having issue with dates landing on WE's and Holidays. We use transportation so I want to make sure I am understanding this correct. When we enter a request date the sched pick and delivery dates will auto populate if the SO is routed and gets a shipment number. If routed it looks at the calendars and decides if the sched pick lands on a WE or Holiday and if it does it will forward date the sched pick? Delivery date will stay the
