Resource Assignment Cost Deleted Itself

I have cost loaded several schedules and keep running into the same issue wherein the Budgeted Cost and At Completion Cost delete themselves whenever I status the corresponding activity with an actual start. Actual cost that was previously stored remains unchanged, but the Budget cost and Remaining Cost all show $0. I am then stuck re-interring all the assigned cost every update. Can you please advise how i can stop this problem?
