Kerberos authentication of service accounts?

Hi

I read somewhere that "Consider Kerberos for named user accounts (end-users), not service accounts".

I´m a bit new to this Kerberos thing so my short and simple question is
Why are you not supposed to use Kerberos for service accounts?

A followup question for this: What should one use for authentication of service account logging into database?
