Is there a way to set a maximum quantity on an inventory item

Hi there, we have a question.

Our locomotive oil tank was filled by a delivery service (to keep it topped up at 8,000 gallons) and the invoice sent to us. The mechanical department adds inventory charges for oil drawn from that tank to work orders

The problem is that mechanical is failing to do the inventory charges. This results the tank showing in JDE as containing about 19,000 gallons of oil.

Is there a way to set a MA quantity on an inventory item?

For example: In this case, there’s not permitted to be more that 8,000 in stock for that item.
