Database migration with Forms

Hi,

Currently, it's Weblogic 12.2.1.4 with Forms/Reports 12.2.1.4 installed on a Windows2022 server, connected to an Oracle12 Database.

Keeping this installation on the Windows2022 server, we'd like to migrate to an Oracle 19 Database . So, it seems certified and simple : only to change the tnsnames.ora and the config file formsweb.cfg. Do you agree ? nothing more to do ?

My questions are about the schemas created by the RCU.

In our case, the RCU has created numerous schemas in an other Oracle12 Database (because of AL32UTF8 constraint).

  • Can we keep these schemas in our initial Oracle12 Database (so nothing to do on these existant schema)
