Using FQDN's for CCF's (Diameter accounting)
According to the Accounting-guide (rls. 9.2), FQDN's can be used to access CCF servers over Diameter.
Basically 3 parameters are needed to configure this:
- "hostname" parameter of the account-server must be set wit a FQDN
- "dns-realm" parameter of the account-config must indicate via which realm the FQDN has to be resolved (DNS).
- "origin-realm" parameter of the account-server must indicate in which realm
communication with the Diameter CCF has to take place.
However, after configuring all this, communication does not work out as expected:
- DNS-resolution of the FQDN via the indicated realm work fine
- Diameter communication is not arranged via the indicated realm, but remains on wancom0
