Using FQDN's for CCF's (Diameter accounting)

in Acme Packet (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

According to the Accounting-guide (rls. 9.2), FQDN's can be used to access CCF servers over Diameter.
Basically 3 parameters are needed to configure this:

  • "hostname" parameter of the account-server must be set wit a FQDN
  • "dns-realm" parameter of the account-config must indicate via which realm the FQDN has to be resolved (DNS).
  • "origin-realm" parameter of the account-server must indicate in which realm
communication with the Diameter CCF has to take place.

However, after configuring all this, communication does not work out as expected:

  • DNS-resolution of the FQDN via the indicated realm work fine
  • Diameter communication is not arranged via the indicated realm, but remains on wancom0

Howdy, Stranger!
