Upgrade in-place of OS RedHat from 7.9 to 8.10 in a RAC environment with 4 nodes

According to my UNIX team, upgrade in place from RedHat from 7.9 to 8.10 is not supported in a RAC database.

I cannot understand why, because in my case I have a DB of 50TB, and I would love to know if any of you have an official note which says that is not possible.
