Does anyone have JDE E1 9.2 set up to only print W2s for employees who want a printed W2?

We have always printed W2s for all employees and also offered it via ESS. We would like to reduce the amount of printing and allow employees to opt out of a printed W2 since we have it available in ESS as well. We would still need to mail W2s to terminated employees. Does anyone know if JDE has the ability to flag only certain employees to get a printed W2, or designed a custom process to do this?
