After installing Sons font to our reports the underline for hyperlinks went missing

Background:
We have project requirement to install Sons Fonts to our reports.
First time installation.

Changes made:
In uifont.ali file, we appended the below changes:
under the section:
#===============================================================
Put mappings for all surfaces here.
#===============================================================
[ Global ]
.
.
Sons..... = Sons.....

Result:
The reports are compiled and regenerated.
Opened PDF files under "document properties" > Font
we see sons being used.

Issue:
The section where we have hyperlinks, have lost the underline beneath it.
