Video streams through SBC

Enterprise Session Border Controller 9.3.0

If we setup a video stream using SIP through the SBC, will the UA have full freedom to agree on a video codec E2E?

Do we have to setup codec policies or other configuration in the SBC to allow for video to flow?
Is it recommended or mandatory to create a codec policy to limit only pre-approved video codecs?

The endpoint UAs are assumed to have common codecs, so there is no need for video transcoding, which is not supported in the SBC.
