eProcurement 9.2 Direct Connect Supplier with auto dispatch and stored Items with no auto dispatch

Here is a scenario, I have a supplier setup for direct connect with a PO dispatch method of EDX, PO Auto Source, and Batch Dispatcher setup. This is so we have end to end automation.

However, I was thrown a scenario where we have 3 items setup to store in our warehouse from the supplier, that they want replenished periodically without them being auto dispatched. I suggested creating a second vendor profile, once for direct connect and the other for those 3 items…however they do not want to do that. There is nothing under the purchasing item attributes for those items for dispatching methods that would override anything at the supplier level. Outside of a funky customization, any other ideas?
