SYS/SYSTEM account and creating objects in sys/system schemas
Hello All,
I have a general question about the best practice.
https://asktom.oracle.com/ords/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:18785088712670
original post was from 2004 and just want to confirm oracles response is the same.
"but - i would stress -- do not use sys/system, lock them down. you don't need to use them except in rare cases during patching/upgrades -- if at all (SYSDBA should be used in general)"
Oracle should be more explicit in the documentation about this if this is oracles stance. People enjoy playing semantics on this topic, the oracle dba administration guide it states "You must not create any table in the sys schema". It doesnt state must not create any object.
