Veridata 23ai - How to configure browser to accept self-signed cert?

Veridata 23.1.0.0 on OL 8.10

Just completed installation of Veridata 23.1 using the default settings for SSL/TLS Security and Veridata Self-Signed Certificate. Connection attempts using either Firefox or Chrome are are rejecting the self-signed cert, both from remote host and from the localhost. Is there a work-around, such as importing the self-signed cert into the browser?
