Localhost fails default hostname verifier

I've got a nodemanager running on listen address Localhost with SSL enabled.

I've got a weblogic admin server on the same VM and OS, running and it points nodemanager to localhost. Type SSL The SSL certificates are setup with the domain names that we use for apache. That all works fine. But…

When Admin Server attempts to contact the node manager, it spits out this error:

from localhost - 127.0.0.1 failed hostname verification check. Certificate contained test but check expected localhost>
