Item Creation - WIP Status Indicator

Hi Experts,

Is there a way to block the item from being transacted till its fully approved? We need the ability to create an Item in JDE but keep it at WIP status till the stakeholders approve it to be used on the manufacturing process. Is there a stock type/GLPT or any other identifier to mark the item as "Not ready " for use and also systemically block from transactions?

Obsolete or Use-up setups will not work.
