Item Substitution in BOM

Hi Experts,

While evaluating the substitute items setup in BOM, I faced unexpected results when I processed the work order with FIXED component quantity (FORQ) set to 'F' on a fixed batch BOM. Is there a document or explanation on how substitutes should behave when we are dealing with Fixed component quantity line items? I already referred the below document and the example given is a Variable component quantity on a scalable BOM.
