Repercussions of using a non-blank primary location with WMS on

We are in the process of implementing WMS at a b/p that uses non-blank primary location for all items. The location used is 000000 (6 zeros). The location does not contain any on hand ever. In the past, I have always followed the recommendation that the primary location be blank. What are the repercussions of a non-blank location that will not have OH quantities when using WMS? Thanks.
