Transfer Portion of Asset Cost?

We're on PSFT Release 9.2 Img 46.

Is there a way to transfer only a portion of an asset's total cost to a separate department?

For example, we have an asset with a cost of $20,000 in department TECH and we'd like to transfer only 19% of the cost, ($3,800) to department COMP while keeping the depreciation already accumulated under department TECH the same and the future depreciation hitting department COMP.
