How to stop using Next number when creating PO in JDE

Scenario1 - POs use the next number from P0002, going f/w another system will integrate into JDE Procurement, so the Next number in JDE is not required to generate the PO# as the new PO# will come from the integrated system, How can we maintain integrity and integrate into JDE without using PO next number P0002 application setup. thanks
