Using the goal service in Solaris 11.4

A disabled service in SMF does nothing. It doesn’t tell you that it’s disabled without being asked. There isn’t a message to the world telling everyone “Hey, i’m not running”. Your logfiles would be full of such messages. It’s the kind of information you ask for specifically by checking the status.
