E1 9.2 Changing a branch plant on an existing sales order line

When using P4210 and changing the sales order line, to change the branch plant, we have to cancel the existing sales order line and enter a new line with the new branch plant.

Will P4210 and the Sales Order Master business function allow the new branch plant to be changed on an existing line as opposed to entering a new line? This would be for lines that are soft committed.

I will be creating a custom application to use the Sales Order Master business function to change the branch plant, location, etc… on an existing sales order line. Before I invest time, should I cancel the existing line and create a new line?
