Not able to Change Ship To address after entering a Sales Order

I am not able to change the ship to address in the sales order on line level. I enter the sales order and it defaults to the primary address, which is correct. When I open the line item and change the ship to address there and save, the previous address is entered directly after saving. At this point, the Sales Order is not booked.

Has anyone had a similar issue and do I know how to solve it?
