Changing company and branch on existing sales order

We have two companies (300 and 310) that produce the same item. Is there a way to change the sales order from one company / branch to another company / branch without the need to cancel the first order and enter new?

If the system does not allow that, do you know if anyone has had luck in creating an orchestration or custom code that may be able to do this?

We are on 9.2.
