Summarize F0911/F0902 accounts for purging with subledgers

We are posting work orders to the F0911/F0902 with detailed subledger type and subledger information. We want to summarize and purge those accounts that are older than the current and prior fiscal years. That detailed information is no longer needed on older records. This reduces space and running time for reports over a smaller data set. Is it possible to run SQL to remove the subledger and type over those records in the F0911 and then repost them to the F0902 using R099102?
