Reversing a AR Misc. Receipt in confirmed status

Hi,

I tried reversing a miscellaneous AR receipt(credit card refund).The misc. receipt is reversed but the credit memo does not open up. The original receipt now shows a balance against the original receipt.

How do I settle this ?

  1. Misc receipt reversed.
  2. Original receipt shows an amount of the misc receipt.
  3. Credit memo is not open.
