Dear all,
I would like to submit 2 topics related to the MOS Note "M5 Cross Endian Platform Migration using Full Transportable Data Pump Export/Import and RMAN Incremental Backups (Doc ID 2999157.1)".

  1. During the initial level 0 incremental RMAN backup of a source production database sized 1574 GB, 4 trace files appeared on the directory .../diag/.../rdbms/.../trace/, ever-growing, causing at the end a file system full crash.
As a workaround, after starting over the level 0 incremental RMAN backup, every now and then I overwrote the above trace files running the command 'echo "hello" > <trace file full name>', preventing in this way the above disk space usage.
