How to create joint ownership of bank account without API end-dating?

I took 2 Suppliers, changed the SWIFT code and bank account on supplier 2 to match the same on supplier 1.

That creates joint ownership between two suppliers, with supplier1 being the primary owner.

Then changed attribute 3 for supplier1 and ran workflow. This created a new bank account for supplier 1 and end dated the bank account it jointly owned with supplier 2.

It also end dated the same bank account for supplier 2 leaving supplier 2 with no active bank accounts.
