Procurement card - card number blank until click display unmasked card number and save - disappears

We are experiencing a highly unusual and unique issue with one of our procurement card profiles. We have an active pcard user not being pulled into queries and reports yet when we look at her transactions in the reconciliation we can see the card is actively in use.

Researching took us to the card holder profile and when we first open it, the card number is blank.

Then if you click the display unmasked card number check box it populates the full card number.

After clicking save, just the last 4 remain as is expected.

Then, the next day, it is blank again.
