Issue with managers and administrators to cancel absence requests from the View Request page

My organization is trying to implement the functionality from HCM 9.2 Update Image 50 (9.2.050) Bug ID 36818231 to allow managers and administrators to cancel absence requests from the View Request page. The new Cancel button works in Employee Self Service, but we are getting a message in Manager Self Service

that the user is not allowed to access the data when clicking the button. The employee whose request is being cancelled is a direct report of the user. We tested this in the Demo database and the error is also occurring there. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
