OPM Material transaction date in Inventory is different than creation date. One off?

I have had a case recently where the OPM Batch WIP Issue transaction date had a gap of 2 days from the creation date. Please see figure 1

I know that this WIP issue/WIP return happened because of the correction transaction in the OPM form. But why there is a date difference is puzzling. We don't use MES , so any API call from external application or custom is ruled out.

I tried to see if I can re-create the problematic scenario

I noted one thing that when you go to the Batch and try to do a correction transaction , at least on the screen , the transaction date shown can be the date when the first transaction was performed, but when you click proceed and create the transaction, it gets created by sysdate in MMT. so don't know what would have happened in the case of PROD.
