best practices and considerations when handling intercompany eliminations in FCCS

What is the best practice where a number of elimination entitites are in place for financial services entity, and the question is they should flow through GL or skip GL and handle in either FCCS or other consolidation engines. please provide whats the best practice from Oracle stand point.
