CLOB to CHAR

How to convert CLOB data in to Varchar in BI publisher.

When i using TO_CHAR it is getting "ORA-22835: Buffer too small for CLOB to CHAR or BLOB to RAW conversion (actual: 4575, maximum: 4000) https://docs.oracle.com/error-help/db/ora-22835/" Error
