Disbabling Contraints when Splitting partition

Hello All ,

I have a technical question , If I want to split the partition of from 11 tables of a database total size 1.9tb total, is there any benefits of disabling the constraints during the operation ?

As far as I know and read it speeds up the operation

But what is the disadvantage and how confidently this thing should be taken in to consideration and really disabling constraints is needed ?

Disadvantage I read is disabling and enabling can cause a data Inconsistency is this documented by oracle ?

We are on EXACS 19.25 OCI Cloud
