Has anyone ever created a negative distribution line on an amount only PO?

PeopleSoft 8.59.10, PUMM 44

We are looking to use a negative distribution line on a PO that is set as amount only, but we are getting the error stating. {Negative amount is not allowed on distribution line, when the Distribute by method is amount only}

Has anyone ever created a negative distribution line on an amount only PO?
