Approval Process for Department Tree Updates?
Good afternoon! We are on HCM 9.2, PUM 51. We need to revamp our current process for obtaining requests to update a department's attributes, as well as when the requestor asks to move a department within the DEPT_ID_ORG tree, add a new node, remove a current node, renaming a node. HR is responsible for maintaining the tree since it 'lives' in HCM. Currently we use a cluttered form, and it uses no data validation, and provides no consistency for the info we need depending on the request.
In a perfect world we'd like an electronic form somewhere in ESS where the requestor can select yes/no to questions that would guide them to the fields they need to complete for their request, and depending on the request it may either go to Finance or to me (HRIS); we would also be fine with establishing one form for each type of request.
