Under what conditions can diag and trace files be stored on dNFS file systems

Hi!
We use Oracle 19c with DNFS.
(Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition).

Can/may diag data and trace files also be stored on (their own separate) DNFS file systems, and what are the requirements for this?
Are there any disadvantages?
