Best practices for deletion of unsed BU+Commodity level approval setup in RSS (43E) in JDE 9.2?

Dear All

In JDE 9.2 (9.2.5) , as part of data cleanup , there is a requirement to delete unused BU+Commodity level approval codes in the RSS (requisition self-service) module ?

What are the recommended checks to be done before proceeding with this action?

Also , it is required to disallow any new approval route setup (BU or BU+Commodity) in RSS module for some of the BUs being set as inactive in the system

Please share recommendations on ways to achieve this in standard JDE way
