Hyperion EPM System Patching Process

We are preparing to upgrade from Hyperion EPM 11.2.15 to Hyperion EPM 11.2.21. The deployment consists of 5 Windows servers. The configuration of the servers is as follows:

Server 1: Foundation server (Calc Mgr, HFR, HP, HFS, Essbase and HRMI).

Server 2: Foundation server (Calc Mgr, HFR, HP, HFS, Essbase and HRMI).

Server 3: HFM and FDMEE.

Server 4: HFM and FDMEE,

Server 5: Essbase.

In the past when upgrading the organization chose to apply Hyperion updates patches in serial in the following order:

Server 1 apply update patches waiting for completion of the patching process.

Then patch

Server 2 apply update patches waiting for completion of the patching process.
