How do we get the "Open in new window" option for a link on a RTE HTML field?

We have a couple of external links on our acknowledgement setup for Offboarding. When the user clicks on the link the external page is open in the same window. There is no way to get back to the Offboarding activity guide without hitting the back button. This is not ideal. Is there a way to add the option to open in a new window on the link button of the RTE toolbar?
