Resource Hour Allocation Exceeds Max Units Per Time When Using a Resource Curve

Hello all,

I assigned a resource curve - and was very surprised to find the hourly allocation for the day to be over the resource limit of 8h/d. Also - the curve is even through the first 70% of its duration, but the amount allocated is higher during the first day.

Note the 13 hours on Monday, then the 9 hours Tue - Mon.

Here is the resource's information that is assigned to the activity:

The activity is Task Dependent, Fixed Duration and Units, % Complete - Duration. The calendar is a standard 8h/day - M-F.

I'm at a loss to explain why there are more hours allocated than the resource's 8h/d limit.
