Should Gateway Host also have AI installed

Hi,

We are upgrading from IP 13 to IP 25.1 in Production.

In Our IP13 Production Environment, we have 2 Web Servers W1 & W2, 4 App Servers A1,A2,A3,A4 and 1 Gateway Server G1.

In the To-Be Architecture for IP 25.1 we decommission both Web Servers W1 & W2 and instead install Application Interface on app Servers A1 & A2.

For this, we installed New AI on App1 and then we trying to do Migration Installation of Gateway on G1. During this system is asking for AI Home Location which doesn't exist on G1.

In this scenario how to proceed with a Migration Installation? Should Gateway G1 also have Primary AI installed?
