node eviction and MAC ADDRESS FLAPPING IN SWITCH LOGS

Hi team,

We are seeing MAC address flapping in the switch logs within our 19c grid/rac environment.

After checking the NICs on the nodes, I can see that the NICs (on both nodes) have the same MAC address on both the public and private interfaces..

My gut feeling is that this is a wrong NIC setup, as Ive never seen the same MAC address on public and private interfaces on any grid setup before..

Can anyone verify that this is correct? Ive failed to find any documentation in oracle that states this explicitly.

However all 'AI' and search tools state that different MAC addresses should be used on the public and private interfaces otherwise the switches can get confused.
